Food on Film - EU Project
We are thrilled to announce that, together with three other European Environmental Film Festivals, we have been awarded the EU-funded project “Food on Film” in Austria.
Starting in the fall semester of 2024, 20 Austrian school classes will engage with pressing issues in the fields of nutrition, food production, and the environment. Their task: to create scripts that will be transformed into 1-minute short films.
This project provides teachers and schools with a modern, digital, and interactive teaching film format that offers access to a wide range of international and national environmental films, documentaries, and scientific materials. All that’s needed for production is a smartphone and some great ideas.
In the five participating countries – Italy, Austria, Germany, France, and Montenegro – two classes with the best scripts will each win a two-day film workshop (valued at 5,000 EUR) to professionally complete their short films. All films produced by the students will be showcased at the Mobile Film Festival in France and the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival in 2025.
