The 23rd Innsbruck Nature Film Festival has announced its winners: “Songs of Earth” was named Best Nature Documentary, and Food for Profit” was awarded Best Environmental Documentary. The Best Green Fiction Film award went to The Last Rhino”, directed by Canadian filmmaker Guillaume Harvey.
Aligned with the festival’s motto “We are one”, “Songs of Earth”, directed by Norwegian filmmaker Margreth Olin, impressed the jury with its sensitive portrayal of an aging individual’s connection with Norway’s natural landscape. “Food for Profit”, by the Italian directing duo Giulia Innocenzi and Pablo D’Ambrosi, explores the highly unethical practices of the meat industry.
The main prizes in the categories of Nature Film and Environmental Documentary, each worth €3,000, were sponsored by the city of Innsbruck and Innsbruck Tourism.

For the 23rd time, the Innsbruck Festival, held at the Metropol Cinema, celebrated nature, the environment, and the careful stewardship of the planet. The event was complemented by excursions into Tyrol’s unique natural landscapes.
